Sodium Hyaluronate - A Hyaluronic Acid derivative that can penetrate the topmost layer of your skin for deeper hydration.

Red Algae Extract (Crispus Chondrus Extract) - It’s an incredible antioxidant that is rich in polysaccharides, peptides and fatty acids, equally great at cleansing and locking in moisture.

FAQs

  1. Why do I need to cleanse twice?

For people that use make-up or the recommended amount of sunscreen in a day or several layers of serums - one cleanse is simply not enough to clean pores thoroughly. This is where a double cleanse comes handy the most! While your pores can’t open or close, they can work as wells that trap oil, grime and residue of sunscreen or make up. In order to prevent breaking out and other skin damage, it is essential to double cleanse.

  1. Does that mean this can’t be used as a regular cleanser?

While the use for a double cleanse is only an added benefit, this cleanser provides all the benefits of a regular face wash and can be used simply to clean the skin.

  1. What is sodium hyaluronate? Why is it good for me?

Sodium hyaluronate is a molecule that is derived from Hyaluronic acid. These molecules are so dense that they hydrate the uppermost layers of your skin easily, providing nourishment, conditioning and therefore a strengthened skin barrier over time.

  1. Who is this cleanser good for?

We know you’ve heard this a thousand times before- but this cleanser really is designed to work on all skin types! It has clarifying ingredients that work gently but sincerely to remove all the day’s grime and the night’s leftover skincare from your skin. It also has hydrating properties that make sure your skin isn’t irritated.

  1. Is it safe to use during pregnancy / lactating mothers?

This cleanser is made with skin-loving ingredients that are safe and suitable to use for all skin types, including pregnant and breastfeeding mothers.

Our sunscreen is formulated to fight both UVA/UVB rays and blue light emitted by screens.

Foxtale Acne Spot Corrector Gel

Acne Spot corrector gel

Product Description

Never worry about an unexpected pimple again! This power-packed acne-fighting gel helps unclog the inflamed pore, deeply clean it and prevent the formation of a blemish. Be it stress-related acne or hormonal breakouts, this spot corrector ensures visible reduction with 12 hours of application.

Hero Ingredients & Benefits

Salicylic Acid (BHA) - The best ingredient in your fight against acne, it unclogs pores and cleans them deeply, and decreases sebum production leading to fewer breakouts.

Glycolic Acid (AHA) - This water-soluble acid gently exfoliates the surface to help remove dead skin and excess oil, reducing the mark and discolouration over time.

Azelaic Acid - A gentle dicarboxylic acid that kills acne-causing bacteria and reduces irritation and refines skin surface and controls pigmentation by increasing the cell turnover.

Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide) - This derivative of Vitamin B3 regulates oil, minimises redness, helps reduce the severity of acne, especially papules and pustules.

How To Use

Step 1: Cleanse your face with a face wash

Step 2: Apply a dab of the gel to an active pimple

Step 3: Wait for it to dry. Follow up with the rest of your routine.

Can be used twice a day.

FAQs

  1. Is it safe to use during pregnancy / lactating mothers?

Since our Acne Spot Corrector contains actives like Salicylic acid, we do not recommend usage during pregnancy. Do check in with your dermatologist before using any active ingredients during pregnancy.

  1. Insufficient quantity

To get the results through this acne gel, all you have to do is squeeze out a rice-sized amount of the product and use it on pimples. Wait for it to dry down completely and then apply other products as needed.

  1. Which type of acne is it suitable for?

The acne spot corrector gel contains powerful actives that help clear dead skin cells and thoroughly clean your pores. Whether you have acne lesions caused by stress or hormones, this gel is here to deal with them all. It also heals small papules and pustules on the skin's surface. Overall, it penetrates deep into pores to fight acne-causing germs and prevent the formation of new ones.

  1. Misinterpretation as post acne spot corrector

Since the acne gel contains glycolic acid and azelaic acid, it is often misunderstood as a post acne spot corrector, which is not far from the truth. When your active pimple has subsided but you continue to use it, it helps your pimple not leave a mark.

  1. Can I use it after chemical peels?

It is advisable not to use it right after a chemical peel treatment, rather you can use it the day after.

  1. Which serums can I pair with acne gel?

The acne spot corrector gel is a one-stop solution for a variety of skin problems such as random breakouts, huge open pores, excess oil, and so on. It is truly an all in one package. As a result, you do not need to apply further treatment based serums, but you can use hydrating and soothing serums to relax your skin and speed up the healing process.

  1. Can I use vitamin C and acne gel together?

You can use the Foxtale C For Yourself Vitamin C serum along with the acne spot corrector gel. However, make sure to use the vitamin C serum under your moisturiser and the spot corrector over your moisturiser so that they have a barrier in between.

Remember to top up with lots of sunscreen after the Vit C application.

FAQs

  1. How do I store my Vit C

Store your Vit C in a cool dry place. You can also put it in your refrigerator to delay preserve its potency.

  1. What can cause my Vit C to oxidize?

Vitamin C naturally oxidizes when it comes in contact with air, heat and sunlight. Which is why this Vitamin C has been formulated in a creamy base to make it more stable and packaged in an airless pump bottle.

  1. My Vit C is not pumping out. What should I do?

Step 1 – Flip the bottle upside down

Step 2 – Shake the bottle a little.

Step 3 – Pump it a few times till the serum dispenses from the bottle.

  1. Why is this Vit C in an airless pump?

A regular pump causes air to enter the bottle, increasing the rate of oxidation.

Airless pump means less need for preservatives in your skincare product.

Airless pump helps you get to the very last drop.

  1. How do I know if my Vit C has oxidized?

You notice a drastic change in colour.

There is an unusual odour.

The texture is different than the time of purchase.

  1. Can I use this at night?

Yes, you can use this serum in your morning OR your night routine. Just make sure you are not using Benzoyl Peroxide, Retinol or AHAs/BHAs in the same routine.

  1. How do I use Vit C in my routine?

If you are a Vit C beginner, use this serum after your face wash and before using a moisturizer. If you have sensitive skin, start by using it 3 times a week and then when your skin gets used to it, use it every day.

  1. What is L-Ascorbic acid?

L-Ascorbic acid is the purest and most potent form of Vitamin C. While Vitamin C can be found in several forms, this, when applied topically, shows the most effective results.

  1. Why do I need Vitamin C?

Vitamin C is the answer to all your skin’s queries about brightness, dark spots and sun damage. It is a tried and tested antioxidant that shows the best improvement in your complexion over time. Our users even found a reduction in fine lines and wrinkles over time, whereas others said the Vitamin C made them skip make-up!

  1. Can people be sensitive to Vitamin C?

Sometimes! Due to its low pH, Vitamin C is highly acidic and can cause a slight tingling sensation for some. It subsides with time. However, if the irritation persists or you see any changes in your skin’s texture or appearance, stop using it immediately! Beginners with very sensitive skin are advised to use Vitamin C 2-3 times a week and build a tolerance, post which it shows the best results when used daily!

  1. Vitamin C fights free radical damage. Does using Vitamin C mean I can skip sunscreen?

NOPE! Even though it is one of the strongest weapons in your arsenal when fighting sun damage, Vitamin C can make your skin sensitive to the sun. While our Vitamin C is formulated in a way that makes sun sensitivity less likely, it can only be combated fully with a broad spectrum sunscreen, which should be used right after!

  1. Will this make my skin tingle?

If your skin isn’t used to Vitamin C, the higher concentration in our formula may make your skin tingle slightly. However, it should stop in a few seconds. If it continues to irritate your skin, please stop using it!

  1. Why is sunscreen necessary along with Vitamin C?

Consider this combination the most effective way to fight free radicals and sun damage. While they work on their own, together, they only enhance each other’s benefits. This is the most sureshot way to see rapid results from both products!

FAQs

No over-the-counter retinol product is safe to use during pregnancy / lactating mothers. As a result, even the encapsulated retinol is not suitable. We do recommend checking in with your dermatologist on pregnancy-related skincare.

  1. What is the minimum age limit to start using retinol?

  1. Can I use it daily?

If you want to make full use of the benefits that retinol has to offer, you can use it daily or even on alternate nights. However, if you’re afraid of the possible irritation and discomfort, you’re not alone. Using the retinol serum daily is a lot of work but the only guideline you need to abide by is to always wear sunscreen and avoid overdoing its quantity (a pea size amount is enough for face and neck).

  1. Will it treat hormonal acne?

A typical retinol serum may or may not treat hormonal acne, but the foxtale retinol night serum combines the power of encapsulated retinol, palmitoyl glycine, vitamin E, and other ingredients that act on the outermost layer of the skin to remove dead skin cells and oil from pores. This can aid in the prevention of hormonal acne.

  1. Which skin types is it suitable for?

This serum is your solution for various skin concerns; it can treat fine lines, promote collagen production, brighten and smooth the skin, lighten hyperpigmentation, and control acne. It has a lightweight texture that absorbs into the skin in just a few minutes, making it oily-skin friendly. It contains betaine, allantoin, and vitamin E that keeps the skin well-moisturized, making it ideal for dry, mature, and sensitive skin as well. Overall, it suits all skin types.

  1. Will this treat melasma and eczema?

This serum contains encapsulated retinol, a gentle formula that is approved for the treatment of acne as well as pigmentation problems such as melasma or hyperpigmentation without a prescription. However, retinol without a prescription should be avoided in people with eczema since it might create flare-ups.

The Role Of Ceramides In Barrier Protection

Not too long ago, multi-hyphenate Alia Bhatt declared her love for Ceramides – sending skincare enthusiasts and novices into a tizzy! But is the hype around the ingredient justified? The answer is a resounding yes. For those unaware, super ingredient Ceramide serves as the building unit of the skin, responsible for its taut and elastic appearance. To use a borrowed analogy – if your skin is a masonry wall, Ceramide is the mortar holding the bricks a.k.a. the corneocytes together. But these are just a smattering of benefits! The multitasking ingredient also plays a pivotal role in barrier protection, which we explore in this blog. So, keep scrolling. Additionally, we introduce you to the best Ceramide-infused products on Foxtale for a 360-degree skin transformation. What Are Ceramides? Ceramides are lipid molecules that form approximately 40% of your skin barrier. For all skincare beginners, the skin or lipid barrier serves as the first line of defence for the body. It wards off pathogens, harmful aggressors, and UV radiation, ensuring healthy, happy skin. So, you can only imagine what would happen if Ceramides were depleted in your skin. They are a gamut of reasons that can diminish Ceramides in your skin >Ageing >Weather changes >Continued use of dry water >Harsh skincare and more How Do Ceramides Help In Barrier Protection? Here are the different ways in which Ceramides help uphold the skin barrier. 1. They Hydrate: We know that adequate hydration is indispensable for a sturdy skin barrier. Super ingredient Ceramides helps double down on efforts for skin hydration by preventing TEWL or Transepidermal Water Loss. You can pair it with Hyaluronic Acid in your skincare for best results. 2. They Exhibit Anti-inflammatory Properties: Ceramides boast anti-inflammatory properties that help alleviate redness, rashes, hives, flare-ups and more. Ceramides are a must-have for folks with extremely dry or sensitive skin. 3. Integrity And Structure: To bring back the brick wall analogy, Ceramides serve as the mortar, ensuring the taut, supple & elastic appearance of your skin. The depletion of the super ingredient can lead to premature saggy skin, fine lines and wrinkles. 4. Infallible Protection From Pollutants And Aggressors: Ceramides sit on the skin barrier, shielding your skin from harmful UV rays and environmental aggressors. Do Ceramides Work For All Skin Types? If you’re on the fence about introducing this super ingredient into your skincare – we have some reassuring news for you. Ceramides bode well for all skin types, including oily. We know hydration is vital for maintaining oily skin as it regulates sebum production. Since topical application of Ceramides helps prevent Trans Epidermal Water Loss, they prove to be a good match for oily and combination skin. Best Ceramides-Infused Product On Foxtale Wish to add Ceramides to your everyday skincare? Try Foxtale’s Hydrating Moisturizer in your morning and nighttime rituals. But before you add the product to your cart, here’s everything you need to know about the innovative formula Key Ingredients: Ceramides, Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer & Olive Oil First Impressions: The hydrating moisturizer for face sits in a sleek, purple bottle. It doesn’t leave any white residue and is the perfect precursor to a full face of glam. Concerns It Targets: Dryness, Uneven Texture, and Damaged Barrier How Does It Work: 1. Deeply Hydrates: Infused with Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer and Olive Oil, the formula ensures multi-level hydration for the skin. The star ingredient, Ceramides, prevents TEWL and keeps the skin’s moisture reservoir intact for prolonged periods. 2. Deeply Nourishes: Olive oil in the formulation nourishes the skin, making it a must-have for folks with sensitive and dry skin. 3. Shields Against Aggressors: Ceramides and Vitamin E at the forefront of the formulation form a protective barrier on the dermis. Ans) A Ceramide Moisturizer upholds the lipid barrier and ensures long-lasting hydration for the skin. 2. What is better, Hyaluronic Acid or Ceramides? Use Ceramides with a potent sunscreen formula to shield your skin against harmful UV radiation. 8. What is better, Ceramide or Niacinamide? May 15, 2024

Treating Hyperpigmentation With Foxtale’s Vitamin C Serum

If you wish to fight the dark spots and patches on your skin, Vitamin C should definitely be on your shopping list! This active ingredient grants the user a single-tone, glowing complexion in a matter of days. The best part? It is extremely easy to use and has little to no side effects (on most skin types). Now, admittedly looking for the right Vitamin C product can be slightly challenging. It is present in face washes, moisturizers, face packs – there is an endless sea of options in the market. However, in this blog, we are rallying for a Vitamin C Serum for your vanity. Scroll ahead to learn why. We also brush up our basics on the popular active ingredient and answer many of your burning questions. What Is Vitamin C? Vitamin C is a water-soluble active that possesses incomparable antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Its popularity in skincare is attributed to its multitasking nature. That's right. Vitamin C works on concerns ranging from ageing to dullness to dark spots and pigmentation. Why Should I Use Vitamin C In The Serum Format? If you want to tackle specific concerns like dark spots and pigmentation, picking a face serum is recommended. For those unfamiliar with the term, a serum is supercharged with the cardinal active ingredient – in this case, Vitamin C. Owing to its weight and semi-liquid state, the serum travels into the deepest layers of the skin to nip the problem in the bud. Faster results and better efficacy is guaranteed. How Vitamin C Serum Works On Pigmentation and Dark Spots? Dark spots and pigmentation can occur due to a flurry of reasons like sun-induced damage, ageing, the wrath of an acne outbreak, and more. Luckily, a Vit C Serum helps inhibit melanin production, administering a more even and bright complexion. The active also ensures a healthy cellular turnover process to unveil a clearer surface sitting underneath. More Reasons To Love Vitamin C Vitamin C extends a gamut of other benefits for your skin, other than treating spots and patches. Why Should I Pick Foxtale’s Vitamin C Serum ? If you are still scouring the market for a Vitamin C serum, here’s why you should consider Foxtale. Reasons Why Foxtale’s Vitamin C Serum Stands Out 1. Sits an airtight, tinted container: For all our skincare beginners, Vitamin C is prone to oxidation. Upon continued contact with heat, light, and air, Vitamin C turns into a rust-hued liquid with reduced efficacy. Luckily, Foxtale’s formula sits in an airtight, tinted container. It also features a pump instead of a dropper on the brim, directing the perfect amount of product for one wear. 2. Emollient-Based Formula: Foxtale’s Vitamin C Serum boasts an emollient-rich formula that doesn’t make your skin uncomfortably dry. It also shields your skin against pollutants and environmental aggregators. 3. Leverages Gel-Trap Technology: Foxtale’s unique formula brings forth a conjunction of Vitamin C and E to your vanity. Oil-soluble Vitamin E facilitates better absorption of the brightening agent across the skin’s lipid barrier. How To Use Foxtale’s Vitamin C For Your Skin? Now that you have your hands on our Vitamin C Serum, follow the below steps to reap its maximum benefits. 1. Cleanse Your Face: To ensure that the Vitamin C Serum reaches the deepest layers of your skin, meticulously wash your face. Use Foxtale’s Hydrating Face Wash if you have dry, brittle skin. On the other hand, you can use our Acne Control Cleanser with Salicylic Acid to cut excess shine from the dermis. 2. Apply Your Serum: Once your skin is dry, apply 2 to 3 pumps of your Vitamin C Serum. If your vitamin C is not pumping, flip the bottle, give it a little shake and then try to dispense the formula. 3. Lather A Moisturiser: Once your serum completely absorbs into the skin, add a thin, even layer of your favourite moisturiser. A potent moisturising formula forms a protective layer on the skin, retaining its water content. 4. Top Off With SPF: Whether you’re stepping outdoors or staying indoors, SPF is non-negotiable. The evolution of skincare as a science has put a spotlight on active ingredients. For those unfamiliar with the term, ‘actives’ target a sundry of specific skin concerns – acne, pigmentation, dullness, premature ageing and more. Results? Quick, long-lasting results that don’t disappoint. Wish to make the most of your skincare routine with these science-backed ingredients? This blog takes you through the most popular actives that grace the labels of the best face serums from Foxtale. From water-loving humectant hyaluronic acid to oil-soluble salicylic acid, peruse at your leisure and learn how they treat your skin from the inside out. Hyaluronic Acid Hyaluronic acid has gained immense popularity amongst skincare enthusiasts due to its unparalleled hydration prowess. The humectant binds water molecules to your skin (X 1000 of its weight), ensuring its soft, plump appearance. Why Hyaluronic Acid? 1. If you struggle with dry, flaky skin, you must add hyaluronic acid to your skincare rotation. While the active is imbued in many cleansers and moisturizers, a serum guarantees the highest concentration of the active. 2. Continued dehydration of the skin can marr its barrier leading to episodes of inflammation and redness. So, if you are observing inexplicable flare-ups on your skin, hyaluronic acid can be the right fit for your vanity. 3. In the long run, skin dehydration can also pave the way for early signs of ageing like fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, and more. Add hyaluronic acid to your AM/PM regimen to restore your skin’s youthful radiance. Best time to use hyaluronic acid: You can use HA in your AM and PM skincare. Niacinamide is often touted as the holy grail of skin brightening. It impedes the transfer of melanin to skin cells, administering an even, bright complexion. 3. Niacinamide prevents moisture loss from your skin, promoting optimal functionality of the acid mantle. Why Retinol? 1. Retinol has been popularised as an anti-wrinkle agent in the beauty industry. Topical application of the ingredient expedites cellular regeneration in the skin, shields natural collagen from depletion and softens signs of ageing. 2. The build-up of dead cells, sebum, and pollutants on your skin often leads to acne. Employ retinol in your skincare to prevent clogged pores and say hello to clear skin shy of bumps or active eruptions. When can you use retinol: As retinol helps to regenerate cells, it's best applied at night. Foxtale Recommends: Anti Aging Retinol Serum Why makes our retinol serum stand out? The serum is formulated with encapsulated retinol that breaks open in the deepest layers of the skin and not on its surface. Results? No purging, not even in the slightest. Salicylic Acid An oil soluble active, salicylic acid is the perfect remedy for whiteheads, blackheads, and active eruption. The gentle exfoliant also possesses mild anti-inflammatory properties. Why Salicylic Acid? 1. If you have oily skin, salicylic acid should be non-negotiable in your vanity. The active curbs sebum production, ensuring a more balanced microbiome. 2. Salicylic acid buffs away dead cells, grime and pollutants from the pores – the perfect fit for acne-prone skin. When can you use salicylic acid: You can use it in both your PM skincare routine. But that’s not all. Far from a single trick pony, vitamin C, boasts a myriad of other (slightly lesser known) skincare benefits too. From beating early signs of skin ageing to warding off free radicals, the beauty industry relies on this water-soluble vitamin for the holistic healing and overall health of their skin For all our readers who are new to this active or wish to weave the multitasker into their pre-existing skincare regime – you all have landed on the right page. Ahead, we answer all your burning questions on Vit C. Scroll to learn about the benefits, the effects, and the ideal way to use a vitamin C serum for your face. Effects of Vitamin C serum on Skin As touched upon briefly in the introduction, Vit C has several skin benefits. 1. Fights Dark Spots and Patches: Topical application of a Vitamin C serum dwindles the appearance of localised discoloration and acne marks, ensuring a single-tone complexion. A Godsend for folks with hyperpigmentation, it guarantees time-bound results that are gratifying. 2. Reverses Skin Ageing: Have signs of premature skin ageing bogged you down? Don’t fret and add a Vitamin C serum to your AM/PM regimen. For the unversed, the active amps up the collagen production in your skin – combating fine lines, wrinkles, and laugh lines. According to a paper published by the Oregon State University, Vitamin C has been shown to stabilise collagen mRNA, thus increasing collagen protein synthesis for repair of the damaged skin. 3. Prevents Radical-Induced Damage: A potent antioxidant, Vitamin C serum wards off free radicals, preventing damage to the skin. According to a scientific literature published by the National Library of Medicine, Vit. C, the most plentiful antioxidant in human skin, forms a part of the complex group of enzymatic and non-enzymatic antioxidants that co-exist to protect the skin from reactive oxygen species (ROS). When paired with an SPF, a Vit C serum also minimises sun damage by blocking UV radiation. 4. Clarifies Complexion: Vitamin C ensures a healthy cell turnover process, unveiling the clear complexion sitting underneath. Why Should You Use a Vitamin C-based serum? There is a flurry of Vitamin C imbued products (re: face washes and moisturisers) in the market, then why must you pick a serum to address your underlying skin concerns? Scroll to learn. A Vit C serum has a higher concentration of active ingredients than any other skincare formulation, promising visible results over time. Vit C serum is lightweight and quick-absorbing. It boasts small molecules that percolate deep into the skin to banish spots and patches for a luminous complexion. A result-oriented serum is indispensable to an efficient skincare routine. And we are recommending only the best Vitamin C serum for you! Foxtale’s Vit C serum is beginner-friendly and helps optimise skin health sans the fear of flare-ups or irritation. The unique brew uses gel trap technology to combine vitamins C and E for better absorption. When Should You Apply Your Vit C Serum? You can add the Foxtale Vitamin C serum to your AM/PM routine. The conjunction of our emollient-infused Vit C serum and SPF blocks UV damage, external aggressors and traces of pollution. How to Start Using Vit C Serum? For all first-time users, using vitamin C and layering it with other active ingredients can be slightly overwhelming for their skin. Which is why, we recommend starting slow and steady. 1. Don’t Go Overboard: If you are new to the world of actives, start by using vitamin C 3 times a week. This will help your skin get accustomed to the transparent, non-greasy liquid and flag off episodes of irritation or inflammation (if any). 2. Steer Clear of Layering: If you are starting out with Vitamin C, use it only with SPF. 3. Store Well: Store the Vit C serum in a cool, dry place and refrain from using it if it gives off a bad odour. How to add Foxtale Vit C in Your Skincare Routine? 1. Start with a gentle cleanser to wash off dirt, impurities and excess sebum from the pores. A clean canvas ensures better absorption and adds to the efficacy of your face serum. If your skin type is oily, opt for the Acne Control Cleanser with Salicylic Acid. On the other hand, for dry skin, try the Hydrating Face Wash. 2. After drying your face with a paper towel, turn to the Vit C Serum. Rub 2 to 3 pumps of the serum on the entirety of your face. 3. Next, add a generous slather of the Hydrating Moisturiser to help seal in the water content. 4. Top it off with an SPF of your choice. Remember, sunscreen is non-negotiable, no matter the season or the time of the day. If your pores spill oil like it's nobody’s business, try the Mattifying Sunscreen for a gorgeous, shine-free finish. If you are a fan of a dewy, fresh face – might we suggest our Dewy Sunscreen? Know how to use Retinol the right way for the best results

Welcome to the Retinol wonderland! If you’re reading this, just know that you are one step closer to youthful and radiant skin. But we know, you must still have some concerns about this product. "How should I use it?" "I'm a beginner, will it have any side- effects?" “How much is too much?” Don't fret, we’ve got all the answers for you. So sit back, relax and let's dive into the world of Retinol together, and say goodbye to any doubts and hesitation! What is Retinol? A derivative of vitamin A, this potent ingredient is used to treat skin problems like wrinkles, acne, dullness, and hyperpigmentation. Retinol is known to kickstart the production of collagen and speeds up cell turnover. Due to this smart mechanism, you're able to get good riddance from all the skin conditions that have been bothering you. It helps you get firmer, more taut skin and is an all-in-1 solution to all your skin concerns! How to use Retinol? Start with a cleanser The thought of a pampering cleanse seems very tempting after a long and tiring day. Using a gentle cleanser helps unclog pores and gets rid of dirt which might be responsible for giving you a dull complexion. Treat your skin with a hydrating facewash like Foxtale's daily duet cleanser. It contains the goodness of Red algae extract- an antioxidant that helps in locking in moisture and Vitamin B5, which promotes faster healing of the skin resulting in a reduction of acne and blemishes over time. Apply Retinol We know how eager you must've been to reach this step. But wait, before applying retinol, you need to keep a few things in mind. Before taking the retinol plunge, consider doing a patch test which is a quick and easy way to check for any potential redness or sensitivity. Once you've got the all-clear, you can confidently use Retinol and see the difference it can make on your skin. Take a pea-sized amount of retinol serum and apply it gently to the face and neck. In case you're wondering if applying only a pea-sized amount will be enough- Trust us, with retinol, Less is more. Worried if Retinol might cause your skin any side effects? Try using Foxtale's Retinol Anti Ageing Night Serum; it contains 0.15% encapsulated retinol, a safer concentration of retinol that penetrates deeper into the layers of skin before being activated. Unlike regular retinol serums, encapsulated retinol delivers benefits without causing any purging or irritation on your skin. Provide moisturization After applying retinol, you need to seal in all the benefits with a moisturizer. Give your skin a dose of nourishment with a generous amount of moisturizer. This will make your skin feel extremely soft and supple. Foxtale's Ceramide Supercream contains a unique blend of ingredients that are known to protect you from dryness and maintain the skin barrier. The moisturizer's unique feature is that it contains ceramides that hold the skin together and form a protective layer to prevent moisture loss. This is an excellent addition to your winter skincare routine! Defend with Sunscreen Although you've completed your PM routine, that doesn't excuse you from the most important part- sunscreen. The next morning you need to follow up your routine by using a high-SPF sunscreen. Why? Your skin's sensitivity to UV rays is increased after using retinol. If you avoid putting on sunscreen because it leaves your skin feeling greasy- you can try Foxtale's matte finish sunscreen. It absorbs quickly into the skin, leaving zero white cast and a shine-free finish, perfect for those with oily skin. But if you’re on the lookout for a sunscreen that is moisturizing, you can try Foxtale's dewy sunscreen. It leaves a beautiful dewy glow which is great for dry skin! Both options provide protection against the signs of ageing, so you can choose the one that best suits your skin type and enjoy a radiant, youthful look. Conclusion Retinol, if incorporated and used safely, can bring a myriad of benefits to your skin. Here's a tip- To let your skin get well-adjusted to this product, you can start off slowly. Apply retinol only once or twice a week. Once you feel your skin is getting used to this product, you can use it every alternate night. With patience and proper use, retinol can help to improve the appearance and texture of your skin. "Trust the process" with retinol! FAQs 1.Can I apply retinol in the morning? No, it is advised to apply retinol only at night. Retinol is known to make your face sensitive to UV rays. When you come under sunlight, the efficacy of the product also decreases. You can incorporate the serum at night and follow up with SPF in the morning. 2.When can I expect results after using retinol on my skin? Once you start using Foxtale's Vit-A-Lity retinol night serum, you can expect to see brighter and firmer skin within 8 weeks of use. The key is to stay consistent with your application to get the best results! 3.I have a dull complexion. Will retinol help brighten it? Yes, retinol aids in brightening the skin’s complexion. It works by accelerating cell turnover, which helps to shed dull, dead skin cells, revealing the newer, healthier skin underneath. This process not only improves the texture of your skin but also gives it a noticeable radiance and glow.
